ASSISTANT RESTAURANT MANAGER

Plain& Fancy Farm Restaurant, established in 1959, is Lancaster County’s original family-style restaurant.  Over the past five decades, this high-volume restaurant has served millions of walk-in and motorcoach guests.  In addition to its Amish Farm Feast, the restaurant now offers selections from an ala carte lunch and dinner menu.  Plain & Fancy Farm is located on 9 acres in the heart of the PA Dutch Country.  Attractions, shops and luxury hotel are located adjacent to the restaurant.

 

General Purpose of Job: Assumes full responsibility for kitchen operations, training, and development of Plain & Fancy kitchen team.  Ability to assume M.O.D.responsibilities for back and front of house also required.

 

Experience:  Kitchen and management experience required. Proven experience managing shifts without supervision.

 

Prerequisites:

Demonstrated kitchen operations experience, knowledge and proficiency.

Demonstrated restaurant operations experience.

Ability to interview, hire and train employees.

Ability to work nights, weekends,and holidays.

Ability to drive initiatives to increase guest loyalty.

Good communication and organizational skills.

Must be able to deal with the co-workers and guests with tact and courtesy.

Proven success of building and cultivating strong positive working relationships.
