ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST I

POSITION SUMMARY:Position is responsible to maintain accounts payable functions for assigned restaurants and to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: *Review assigned restaurant?s accounts payable information for accuracy. Review interface from uploaded Accounts Payable file. Make necessary changes in financial system prior to payment and to allow posting. *Ensure that restaurant invoices are paid in a timely manner. Research and resolve any past due issues with invoices. *Verify that supplier included all applicable sales tax on invoices; accrue applicable sales tax as necessary based on state tax rate. *Maintain department documentation for record retention and retrieval. *Open and distribute information in a timely manner from packs sent by restaurants to the corporate office. *Review supplier information from invoices and notify Accounting Support Center of any changes. Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Two-year degree required. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to work well within a deadline driven environment. Perform functions efficiently and accurately with little direct supervision. Data entry experience preferred. Must be accurate and efficient. Working knowledge of Oracle accounting packages and Microsoft suite is desired.
