POSTION SUMMARY:

 

The Assistant Director of Operations is a full-time team management, event management, and customer service position.  Responsibilities include training, leading, and managing a team of full and part-timers, as well as daily management of all Room Service events. 

 

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1.  Manage, train, and lead team of full and part-timers.

2.  Manage Room Service events within the market.

3.  Manage customer needs within the market.

4.  Deliver outstanding customer service.

5.  Oversee warehouse maintenance

6.  Ensure management of all assets.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1.  Education:

High School diploma required.

Business Management degree preferred.

 

2.  Experience:

Prior customer service related job experience required.

Prior team management experience required.

               

3.  Skills:

·         Management:  The Assistant Director needs to have a basic understanding of business management.

·         Personal Relation Skills:  The Assistant Director must excel at team management dynamics.  Assistant Director must be able to positively interact with people on a daily basis and be open to constructive criticism.  ASSISTANT DIRECTOR must have a great attitude and strong customer service skills.  ASSISTANT DIRECTOR must be able to speak and understand English.   S/he must be a team leader and be able to work well with others.

·         Technology:  ASSISTANT DIRECTOR must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Room Service-related computer programs.

·         Driving:  ASSISTANT DIRECTOR must be able to drive all Room Service vehicles, including medium-duty trucks.  ASSISTANT DIRECTOR must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (no DUI’s, etc).

·         Personal Responsibilities:  ASSISTANT DIRECTOR must maintain a professional appearance, with no visible tattoos or piercings.  ASSISTANT DIRECTOR must have reliable transportation and get to work on time.  ASSISTANT DIRECTOR must have a valid social security card and legal US working status.

 

4.  Equipment to Be Used:

Computer, fax machine, scanner, copier, telephone, and various Room Service vehicles.

 

5.  Typical Physical Demands:

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR must be able to lift up to 65lbs. ASSISTANT DIRECTOR must be able to stand or walk for 8 hours per day.  ASSISTANT DIRECTOR must be able to drive all Room Service vehicles.

 

6.  Typical Mental Demands:

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR must problem solve and prioritize needs within the market.  ASSISTANT DIRECTOR must be able to Assistant Director simple math calculations.  S/he must be able to think logically.  S/he must be able to analyze information and perform needed actions to fulfill duties.  ASSISTANT DIRECTOR must be able to handle traffic stress, team management dynamics, and customer service issues on a daily basis.

 

7.  Workload:

Workload includes 45-55 hrs per week maximum.  Workload requires driving or on-the-road responsibilities 10% of the time and working from the office 90% of the time.
