Tax Senior Accountant - Job DETSA
ProLogis, a Fortune 500 company, is the leading provider of distribution facilities and services with distribution facilities owned, managed and under development in North America, Europe and Asia.
ProLogis is seeking a Tax Senior Accountant at our Corporate Headquarters in Denver. Our office is located near Pena Blvd. and I-70. Position will assist the department, Vice President and Tax Manager with tax compliance, planning and management of tax staff.
Duties and responsibilities include the following:
Prepare and review Federal, State, and Local tax returnsResearch real estate tax issuesSupervise and coach tax staffPrepare quarterly REIT tax testsApply partnership and corporate tax rules to common real estate transactionsWork with outside consultants pertaining to complex tax issuesWork with PeopleSoft accounting softwareRead and interpret partnership agreements, specifically in the areas of partnership allocations and distributionsPerform tax basis studies on real estate portfoliosVarious research projects as prescribed by managementInvolves approximately 70% - 80% tax return complianceOther duties as assigned
Qualifications include the following:
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university (Accounting Degree preferred)Four or more years experience in a corporate tax environment required.CPA (if designation not attained, should at least be a candidate)
