 Job Title:  Skilled Maintenance Technician

 

Job Summary:

 

Candidate will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical/mechanical equipment and report findings including equipment out of spec so that corrective action can be planned and carried out.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Candidate will respond to customer generated work requests, internally generated work requests and projects within the facility.  Will install, maintain, operate and repair mechanical/electrical systems. Respond to outages, take logs on critical equipment and be familiar with normal operating parameters. Will work with and understand critical support equipment such as but not limited to: UPS, emergency generators, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, PDU's, HVAC and fire/life safety equipment.  Must become familiar with what action to take should equipment go into alarm condition or if readings should deviate outside normal operating parameters. Dock door and dock leveler experience preferred but not required.

 

Use of hand and power tools in a safe and effective manner. Will support the Facilities Management Department in providing reliable operations and service.

 

Qualifications:

 

Must have 3+ years facilities experience within a commercial building.  Universal Certification required.
