SHIPPING & RECEIVING CLERK

We are currently seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk who will work in our client’s facilities in New Castle, Delaware. SHIPPING & RECEIVING CLERK – New Castle, DE Responsibilities: Prepare bills of lading or dray tickets for each shipment and checks and records all items loaded for shipment. Post shipments to customer orders and calculates balance yet to be shipped. Upon completion of shipment, closes out orders and forwards document to production planning and accounting departments. Notify supervisor or planning department when major discrepancies occur, over-shipments or substitutions have been made. Maintain other shipping records such as goods returned, returnable pallets, dunnage, etc. On received goods, check and count all items unloaded from railroad cars, trucks, or trailers. Check suppliers' count and reports discrepancies to carrier and to purchasing office. Collect information for damage claims on in-transit damage. Ship & Receive GTS equipment from DCE-Honeywell Loading Dock and deliver incoming equipment to “Staging Room� within 48 hours, utilizing a pallet encased grid location system. Update and maintain “active� inventory spreadsheet and post to “GTS Team Room� shared drive under “Procurement Reports.� Assign DCE asset tags to include in active spreadsheet to coordinate with (ISR#) Projects. Send out notification e-mails to GTS procurement, DCE hardware planning & DCE hardware technical support contractors to notify of incoming equipment. Provide administrative support to assist Chief Engineer and staff. Requirements: HVAC/Electrical training highly desired. Office clerical skills.
