SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

The Retail Group of Jones Lang LaSalle is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to our Atlanta, GA corporate office. SENIOR ACCOUNTANT – Atlanta, GA Responsibilities: Review all financial reporting prepared by the property teams for their assigned properties Coordinate process and perform quality review of annual billing reconciliations, annual budgets and quarterly forecast for assigned properties Gain complete understanding of client accounting requirements, communicate requirements to property teams, and ensure requirements are met as established by the client Function as a resource to property teams to coordinate procedures, respond to accounting questions, and respond to client questions Assist in conducting training initiatives developed for both Atlanta-based staff and property-level accounting personnel Participate in special projects working with Assistant Controller and or Controller as needed Knowledge of JDE or other client accounting systems, as well as the Kardin budget system Ability to understand and interpret retail lease documents Coordinate cash management activities between owner and property teams Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred Minimum of 4-6 years public and or private accounting, real estate accounting preferred Supervisory experience Adaptability- maintain effectiveness in varying environments, tasks and responsibilities, or with various types of people Planning and Organizing – establish course of action to accomplish goals and evaluates results, develops schedules and task/people assignments, can orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish goals, uses resources effectively and efficiently Customer Focus – dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of the external and internal customer, acts with customer in mind, establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers, and gains their trust and respect Dealing with Ambiguity – can effectively cope with change, can shift gears comfortably, can decide and act without having the total picture, can comfortably handle risk and uncertainty Motivating Others – creates a climate in which people want to do their best, empowers others, makes each individual feel their work is important Managerial Courage – provides current, direct, complete and actionable positive and corrective feedback to others, faces up to people problems quickly and directly Drive for Results – can be counted on to exceed goals successfully, bottom line oriented, pushes self and other for results Computer proficiency using Microsoft Office and real estate accounting software preferred Strong knowledge of GAAP Start a lasting career with Jones Lang LaSalle today!
