Property Management Bookkeeper

First Preston Management, Inc. is a full service real estate advisory, management, marketing and outreach services firm focused on the disposition of REO (real estate owned) portfolios.  Founded in 1988, the company has managed a total portfolio value of more than $30 billion and sold over 300,000 real property assets online for corporate, institutional and government clients.  The company has successfully managed properties for over 20 major lenders, Fortune 500 companies, Resolution Trust Corp., Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).  On behalf of it's clients, the company manages the largest portfolio of affordable housing in the country.  We have an opening for a Property Management Bookkeeper.

Main Responsibilities:  Bookkeeping aspects and property management, monitoring of multiple properties.Preparing monthly rental deposit slips and record rental income as received for 150+ properties Prepare monthly wire request for the Owners of properties Cut checks once a week or more relating to properties Provide monthly statements for each Owner along with support for expenses of the properties Process invoices for all of the property expenses Maintain and provide property management staff with list of mortgages and HOA payments Research any outstanding issues Reconcile monthly bank statements and Owner's cash balance Provide weekly reports for property management staff of invoices unpaid Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:Property management experience is preferred Minimum 2 years bookkeeping experience needed Strong, accurate computer skills (MS Word, Excel and Outlook) Must be detail oriented and able to thrive in a fast paced environment Able to work independently and with little supervision Effective written and verbal communication skills a must Must be comfortable with research Experience in Great Plains software a real plus
