Payroll Specialist

We currently have an opening available for a Payroll Specialist at our corporate office in Austin, TX.The right candidate must demonstrate the ability to maintain strict confidentiality, have strong analytical, computer and mathematical skills, excellent organizational skills and have the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Essential Functions:   -Process payroll for approximately 1500-2000 employees.   -Analyze and reconcile payroll registers and reports to original  payroll information    -Process Garnishments, (State Child Support and IRS orders).     -Reconcile employer/employee 401(k) contributions and transmit biweekly to 401(k) provider.    -Prepare government reports and verification requests.    -Liaise with Finance Department for various reports, general ledger.     -Prepare reports from Reportsmith as requested.     -Analyze and file appropriate paper work to move into new states.    -Manage payroll software and third party providers.

Requirements:     2-3 years of related payroll experience.    Prior ADP payroll processing and Reportsmith experience.    Multi-state operational experience.    Experience with MS Excel.    Working knowledge of IRS rules as it relates to taxing pay.

Preferred:    General ledger accounting experience.     Experience working with multiple software platforms.    Experience with hand scans and online time and attendance.We recognize people as our most valuable asset.
