Company: Realogy CorporationLocation: Parsippany, NJ 07054Status: Full Time, EmployeeJob Category: Human ResourcesCompany: Realogy Corporation Payroll Manager This position reports directly to the Vice President of Shared Services and is primarily responsible for proactively managing Realogy’s outsourced payroll vendor Automated Data Processing (ADP) meet or exceed daily service needs as well as all contractual monthly service levels. It interacts daily with Managed Payroll Service (MPS) Manager of ADP as well as Accounts Payable, Tax, Legal, Internal Audit, Information Technology, Human Resources and Finance in Realogy. The candidate must be hands-on, capable of successfully managing day-to-day operational challenges, resolving items on the Realogy/ADP Projects and Issues list and managing staff in a highly demanding environment. Responsibilities: Lead Realogy Payroll team and manage ADP relationship to deliver essential functions and to deliver timely accurate payrolls: Daily review of open item and manual check lists Transmit bi-weekly time and transaction files on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday preceding pay week Monthly review of vendor performance relative to contractual Service Level Agreements (SLA) Review and ensure timely remittance of payroll tax payments to federal, state and local tax jurisdictions by ADP Assess all payroll funding requests put forth by ADP Perform critical quarterly and year-end reviews including tax reconciliations by tax authority and employees’ W2s Generate analysis using ADP’s and Oracle’s report writers and query tools Assist Accounting Reconciliation Team with the reconciliation of the cash account swept by ADP to cover payroll charges Review tax notices received from taxing authorities and interface with outsourced payroll tax vendor or outsourced payroll vendor to ensure a timely and accurate response Coordinate and manage relationship between ADP and Realogy’s HR, Tax and Finance departments Effectively interact and communicate with all levels of employees and management. Co-manage “Realogy/ADP Projects and Issues List” and be accountable for the accurate and timely completion of all Realogy tasks Develop payroll policies and procedures for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance Enforce payroll policies and support department practices Manage and professionally develop 3 internal payroll team members Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance controls Develop plans to resolve specific initiatives and produce department medium range plan. Keep management informed of significant issues Additional skills and qualifications: Experience Qualifications 2-3 year experience in managing a third-party outsourced payroll relationship 3-4 years Payroll operations management experience required Minimum of 5-7 years prior payroll processing required 5 years general management experience Accessing data and generating analysis with ADP’s Enterprise (EV4) system and Oracle’s HRIS Ability to develop reports using ADP’s Reportsmith Report Writer Accessing data and generating analysis with Oracle HR product suite and Discover Report Writer Accessing data and generating analysis with automated time and attendance systems preferably Kronos Experience with developing and maintaining Sarbanes Oxley documentation Project Management experience Experience in a human resources department is a plus Knowledge Qualifications Certified Payroll Professional Strong knowledge of payroll best practices, controls and procedures Strong knowledge of payroll taxes and labor laws Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word ADP and Oracle HR reporting tools to obtain required information Project Management Account Reconciliation Required Skills: Excellent communication skills both oral and written (required to effectively communicate with all levels of management) Exceptional analytical skills Excellent customer service, issue follow-up/resolution and organizational skills Ability to build strong relationships and influence leaders and peers Successfully mange multiple activities and cross-functional teams on activities taking place simultaneously Ability to prioritize tasks Discipline to adhere to policies and procedures in the face of outside pressures triggered by service issues Mentoring staff
