PROPOSALS MANAGER

We are currently seeking a Proposals Manager to join our office located in Washington, DC. PROPOSALS MANAGER – Washington, DCThe selected candidate will team with sales professionals on the writing and production of proposals and other sales pursuit materials; it will ensure timely completion of high quality documentation to support the development of client proposals. The candidate will be responsible for creating proposal content, editing work product, maintaining templates and providing final quality review of proposals in response to RFP’s Responsibilities: Draft initial response to all RFP’s and other client deliverables as assigned. Direct team efforts in completion of RFP’s to ensure timely delivery. Incorporate team members’ edits and contributions to initial response and follow through to final completion. Provide quality control review on all significant proposals distributed in the Mid-Atlantic region. Develop approved templates for standard proposal documents. Provide graphic design enhancements to current Company documents. Responsible for follow-up and tracking proposal results. Develop and maintain Best in Class marketing and proposal documents region wide, including but not limited to marketing case studies. Participate in weekly marketing meetings in each office as required. Collaborate with marketing team to produce targeted materials, focusing on copy writing and editing. Materials may include brochures, direct mail and e-mail campaigns, award applications, internal marketing materials, etc. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in technical writing, English, journalism, or related professional area. Minimum of 4 years of directly applicable experience in professional writing, with particular emphasis responding to RFP’s. Experience working in the real estate industry, in the area of proposal generation or technical writing desired. Expert command of the written and spoken language to convey thoughts, ideas, recommendations and technical information in a clearly understood and concise manner with particular attention to detail. Work to the highest standards in spelling, grammar, syntax and style. Ability to proofread documentation, including written material from average writers, and produce error free work product. Team player. Flexibility to integrate, understand and motivate self to adapt core characteristics to the requirements of the job and company. Ability to organize use of time in a fast-paced environment, completing multiple projects simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and strict adherence to deadlines. Capacity to solve routine problems. Excellent computer skills, including expert proficiency in a Windows environment utilizing Word and PowerPoint. Knowledge of In Design and Excel a plus.
