OPERATIONS MANAGER - New York, NY

We are currently seeking an Operations Manager to join our office located in New York, NY. OPERATIONS MANAGER - New York, NYResponsibilities: Supervise and direct the Facility's operations staff and monitors performance of their assigned responsibilities Perform and/or direct the performance of all facility departmental retail requests, insuring that worked performed in all spaces are accomplished efficiently with a minimum amount of disruption Support departmental staff, including selection, scheduling and job assignments Understand the engineering design and operational aspects of the facility's systems and equipment Formulate and implement standard operating procedures for building systems as well as the preventative maintenance program Provide training and support aimed at expanding the capabilities of the operations and maintenance staff Participate in facility infrastructure review, new construction, and other planning activities Manage and monitor construction and repair projects requested by the client Insure the availability of an adequate inventory of tools and other supplies to operate the buildings Plan and manage the budget allowing for appropriate control and utilization of clients resources Recommend and estimate facility repairs and improvements for inclusion in the annual budget Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials Maintain a clean and safe workspace Ensure that all facilities meet Jones Lang LaSalle audit requirements and other audits as requested by the Client Serve as the day-to-day contact with the owner's representative, including reporting and financial tracking Perform other duties as assignedRequirements: Bachelor's degree or PE in mechanical, electrical engineering or equivalent of on the job experience directing and managing a facility engineering department Minimum of 5+ years experience in facility/plant engineering and maintenance supervision Managerial experience; mobile truck management a plus Good interpersonal skills Special knowledge and skills: Exposure to HVAC, fluid handling/pumping, fluid filtering, mechanical systems, and electrical systems engineering and operation, back-up power design and data center design Excellent verbal and written communication skills Computer proficiency using MS Office, Lotus, E-Mail etc.Start a lasting career with Jones Lang LaSalle today!
