Reference Code: 1344 - Maintenance Worker / Technician I (Cascade) Maintenance Worker / Technician I The Maintenance Worker / Technician I will perform jobs including, but not limited to, janitorial tasks, preventative maintenance, repairs, and apartment turnovers at our two properties in Stevenson.  As a part of the site team, ensure a high standard of cleanliness, customer service, and a hazard free environment.   Job responsibilities include:  Â· Completes work orders in a timely and accurate manner.  Cleans up after work is complete. · Performs repairs on the property, including painting, carpentry or wall repair, plumbing and electrical, air conditioning, heating, etc. · Cleans apartments during turnover process as directed by the Property Manager. · Maintains grounds and common areas, including lawns and flowerbeds, shrubbery, parking areas, trash pickup. · Provides on-call maintenance service as directed by the Property Manager.  Responds to emergencies as required. · Sets up conference room and community space as needed. · Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment. · Advises the property manager on the overall condition of the property.   Requirements  Education:  High School diploma or equivalent and technical training in a building trade required.   Experience:  Minimum of two years in skilled maintenance work strongly preferred.   Abilities of the Maintenance Worker / Technician I:  Â· Take direction from the supervisor. · Read, write, do basic math, and follow instructions. · Work in a collaborative manner, as a part of the site team. · Relate professionally with vendors, residents, and co-workers. · Communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds. · Use maintenance, trade, and testing equipment and tools. · Understand and commit to the Mission and Values of Mercy Housing, Inc. · Flexible to change work plans. · Maintain a professional personal appearance. · Drive a car (with a valid driver's license) in order to run errands, etc. · Oversee work progress of vendors or outside contractors.  Email this job to a friend • See all "Mercy Housing" opportunities • Learn more about Mercy Housing
