Maintenance Technician

We are seeking highly motivated, experienced and energetic candidates for several positions of Maintenance Technician for our properties in the Greater Seattle Area.

 

We are looking for Maintenance Technicians at the following properties:

 

Palisades in Bellevue

Eastlake 2851 in Seattle

Echo Ridge in Snoqualamie (Part Time)

Wharfside Point in Seattle (this is for a Lead Maintenance position)

New Property at Issaquah in Issaquah

Anchor Village in Bellevue

Morning Run in Monroe

Park Hill @ Issaquah in Issaquah (this is for a Lead Maintenance position)

Salmon Run in Bothell

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities may include supervision, training and motivation of one other staff person.  May be required to schedule outside vendors.  Using procedures developed by Essex Property Trust, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for timely completion of all phases of apartment make ready work, troubleshooting and repair of most major and all minor mechanical systems and for unsupervised, timely completion of occupied apartment service requests in accordance with predefined company and property standards.  Must be able to perform administrative support duties for maintenance related activities.  Responsible for completion of all work tasks in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with company safety standards, and for the relay of information regarding the property or operations which might constitute a physical or liability hazard.  May be called upon to perform groundskeeper responsibilities not to exceed 25% of available time.  Complete all other tasks or duties as assigned and necessary to facilitate the efficient or safe functioning of the company.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  High school diploma or equivalent.  Two years direct experience in apartment maintenance or three or more years in related fields.  Must be proficient in most areas of apartment maintenance including plumbing, electricity, painting drywall, floor coverings, carpentry, locks, appliances, pools & spas, roofs, and life safety equipment.  Formal training or certificates reflecting completion of maintenance related course or courses or two or more years inter-company training/experience.  Basic written skills and strong oral communication are required.  Ability to function effectively in customer service atmosphere.  Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job.  Available for emergency call duties and weekend work.
