An immediate opportunity exists for a Manager of Hospitality Services for The Shops at Atlas Park, in Queens NY, New York City’s first lifestyle shopping center.  This individual supervises the Shops at Atlas Park Hospitality Center and its customer service program and several related marketing initiatives.  The Hospitality Services Manager reports to the Atlas Park Marketing Department and provides a variety of functions including:

  Oversee the daily operations of hospitality staff including scheduling, training, record keeping, communications, and dissemination of important store information. Manage, track and maintain records on the Atlas Park Gift Card program including selling cards, reconciliation of sales, training of merchants, maintain card inventory and properly handle cash. Working with marketing, develop and implement a business-to-business gift card promotional and sales program. Conduct all administrative functions of the Hospitality Center. Maintain and build on the quality of the Hospitality Center environment. Expand the range of services available at the Hospitality Center. Serve as a direct link to center merchants to engage their participation in programs to help build retail sales. Develop an in-depth knowledge of the center, its stores, store staff and merchandising to be able to be an asset to customers in assisting shopping activity. Handle incoming customer calls to the Hospitality Center and guide staff to the proper handling of phone calls, as well as email communications. Work with concierge and customer service staff in area hotels to promote The Shops at Atlas Park to overnight visitors to Queens, in order to build retail and food sales within a new market segment. Manage and direct a variety of community outreach programs including community special events and tours of the property for community groups. Work with marketing on the planning and fulfillment of a “Welcome Kit” program to new residents in the area. Supervise fulfillment of a variety of marketing and promotional activities at the Hospitality Center.

 

Qualifications for this position include:

  Experience in multiple customer service positions demonstrating excellence and a true passion for exceeding guest expectations. Prior experience in supervision and management of staff employees preferred (2-4 direct reports). Organizational and administrative skills. Computer literacy and experience with Office programs such as MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook. Ability to communicate and interact with ownership, management, vendors, merchants and other team members in a professional, unbiased, objective and ethical manner. Effective communicator verbally and in writing. College graduate preferred but not required.
