Leasing Coordinator

The NRT Eastern Seaboard Support Center is seeking a Leasing Coordinator to join our Accounting and Finance team.

The Leasing Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the payment of leases for companies serviced by the Eastern Seaboard Service Center and preparing Recurring Lease Payment Requests. This position also serves as the first point of contact for questions regarding the leases for the region and will reconcile vendor statements.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Initiating and preparing RLPRs (recurring lease payment requests) and check requests for ESRC company offices according to lease terms- escalations, shortfall rent checks, etc.  Survey Consumer Price Index and calculate rent increases accordingly. Answering questions from landlords, internal accounting department or various metro vice presidents regarding rent issues, accounts payable tracking, as well as property and payment issues. Preparing necessary correspondence advising landlords of rent increases, answering emails, faxes, overnighting mailing, explanation of special payments such as CAM reconciliations; requests for refunds of security deposits on office move-outs. Reconciliation of Common Area Maintenance Statements to assures payment of percentage of costs as listed in lease. Update Property Digest database as required with regard to lease data changes (rent amounts, landlord addresses, square footage changes, etc). Special projects as requested by Senior Leasing Manager.

Qualifications:Must have prior accounting experience; preferably in the Real Estate industry  Strong analytical skills Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to a changing workload easily Strong oral and written communication skills Highly desirable - real estate sales person introductory course completion (license not required)
