Lead Application Developer

We are currently seeking a Lead Application Developer for our business affiliate, UGL Equis, to assist the VP of Application Development in building a more robust and flexible business logic core. This position is based at the UGL Equis Corporate Headquarters in Chicago.

Founded in 1984, UGL Equis provides global strategic real estate consulting and transaction advisory expertise to clients from 24 locations in the US & 13 countries around the globe.

Summary: The primary Lead Application Developer function will be to help plan, design, develop, test, debug, and deploy highly-available applications using the .NET Framework 2.0/3.0 and MS SQL Server technologies. An ideal candidate will be an extremely proficient .NET developer, and will be comfortable handling new challenges involving emerging technologies including various Microsoft products such as SharePoint 2007 (MOSS) and CRM 4.0.

Responsibilities:

§ Provide a senior-level contribution to a team responsible for the design, development and implementation of critical business applications using the .NET Framework 2.0/3.0 and SQL Server technologies

§ Work with traditional software lifecycle methodologies. Create detailed requirements and design documents when and as required.

§ Perform Project Management functions to lead development efforts with minimal direction.

§ Perform coding, debugging and testing.

§ Define the integration between proposed development projects and existing systems, software and hardware

§ Consider and research emerging technologies to improve current applications, architectures and processes

§ Work in a collaborative development environment, providing assistance & technical guidance to less experienced team members

Qualifications:

§ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field

§ 6+ years development experience with the Microsoft .NET platform, including C#, ASP.NET 1.0/2.0/3.0 and ADO.NET

§ Must have extensive C# development experience

§ Ideal candidate will have served in a Project Management capacity and lead a team of developers

§ 6+ years experience with object oriented programming

§ Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server 2000/2005 development (designing tables, views, stored procedures, triggers, etc.)

§ Systems integration experience with web services

§ Exposure to all aspects of the software development lifecycle

§ MS Reporting Services

§ SharePoint 2003 / SharePoint 2007 (MOSS) experience a plus

§ Microsoft CRM experienced a plus

§ Data Warehouse experience a plus

§ ASP.NET AJAX experience a plus
