Graphic Designer

 

 PURPOSE

 

Use knowledge of graphic design software to produce graphic art and visual materials for leasing and new development departments, center promotions, advertisements, direct mail pieces, PowerPoint presentations, corporate and center websites.  Generate and manipulate graphic images, including photographs.

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

Produce and manage photo library of shopping center and industrial properties

 

Maintain, design and produce 4Color direct mail pieces, advertisements, center directories, center websites, billboards, trade show graphics, etc

 

Design and maintain center level websites – including graphics portion and updates, working with server provider to ensure websites are useable and accessible

 

Produce newsletters for individual shopping centers, shareholders, and associates

 

Support Marketing Managers with graphic needs for New Development and Leasing including designing and printing of property brochures, regional brochures, national and regional maps, trade show graphics, etc

 

Design Powerpoint presentations to be utilized by Investor Relations, New Development and Leasing

 

Create and maintain brand standardizing guidelines and help ensure integrity of brand

 

Create online graphics and html emails

 

Provide support for ad hoc projects.

 

Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times while at work.

 

Continue to adapt and innovate for maximum efficiency and profitability in a dynamic environment.

 

 

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

 

Proficiency in Adobe Products (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat), Quark Xpress, Macromedia Flash and Microsoft PowerPoint in PC environment

 

Knowledge of 4-color printing pre-press processes and procedures

 

Knowledge of web design and site maintenance

 

Ability to manage multiple projects, adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines

 

Must be a self starter and detail-oriented as well as big-picture oriented

 

Willingness to work as part of a team and take creative direction from superiors and other team members

 

Strong time management skills

 

Must project a desirable image for the company

 

Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

 

Must be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form

 

Must be able to speak clearly and distinctly, using correct English.

 

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL ABILITIES

 

Must be able to visually inspect special events and advertising production steps. Capable of distinguishing color variances.

 

Must be able to move and lift boxes, marketing materials and decorations using proper ergonomic techniques.

 

Must be able to lift up to thirty (30) pounds using proper ergonomic techniques without assistance.

 

Must be able to stand for four hours without difficulty or distress.

 

Must be able to hear and clearly respond in a verbal manner using telephone equipment.

 

Must be able to accomplish physical activities related to marketing operations such as hang and remove banners/signs, safely climb and descend ladders.

 

Must have the ability to drive to and from shopping centers for property tours, inspections, and special events. Must maintain a valid driver’s license.

 

 

EXPERIENCE

 

One (1) to three (3) years graphic design experience.

 

 

EDUCATION

 

Four (4) year degree in Graphic Arts
