FACILITIES MANAGER 

 

Summary

Manhattan residential apartment buildings:

Responsible for the technical operations of the physical plant/s. Maintenance/repair and enhancement of the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems for a portfolio of residential rentals.

This is a working manager’s position.

 

Partial list of Responsibilities

Oversee plant maintenance and renovations

Develop and implement the preventive maintenance program

Assure that all work performed is done correctly, on time, cost effectively and code compliant

Recommend/implement cost saving procedures

Recommend/implement safety program

Frequent walk-through inspections of every property

Quality control inspection/reporting

 

Minimum Requirements

Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Architecture or similar

Minimum ten years building systems experience required

Knowledge of NYC, NYS and Federal Codes

Ability to read and interpret Blue Prints

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

Demonstrated technical expertise

Strong computer skills including Project Management software

Available and able to resolve emergencies and/or breakdowns
