Summary:
Responsible for managing and participating in the day-to-day operations of ZipRealty’s QA/Helpdesk teams, and for overseeing the integrity and day-to-day operations of ZipRealty’s website and proprietary CRM applications for ZipRealty’s client base and 2,500+ agents. ZipRealty has operations in more than 34 major metropolitan areas. This position is involved in all stages of the SDLC and operational activities throughout the organization.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Hire, train, mentor, and manage QA/Helpdesk personnel.
· Perform test execution, test analysis and all phases of testing, including functional, regression, performance, usability, integration, and acceptance.
· Provide training and support for internal and external customer support teams, including issue resolution and feature rollouts.Coordinate aggressive production release schedules for ZipRealty’s internal and external applications.Work closely with the cross-functional teams, assuring the overall quality and timely delivery of ZipRealty’s products and services by gathering clear and concise product requirements, producing accurate project timeline estimates, effective planning of the QA testing phase, and seamless launches to production environments.Develop and implement QA/Helpdesk processes, strategies, and documents to promote best practices, including Sarbanes-Oxley regulatory audit compliance.Design, develop and implement a clear operating model and policies to effectively achieve objectives and work towards continuous improvement of development, test, build, release, and support processes.Participate in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs and people within area of responsibility.Review departmental and project objectives, translate them into detailed tasks, and communicate them clearly to others.Leverage various teams and resources as necessary to maximize efficiency and support new features and services.
· Perform Atlassian JIRA administrative duties for ZipRealty’s Tech team.
Education/ Professional Experience/Other Skills: BS/BA in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field. Master’s is a plus.A minimum of 5 years experience in Quality Assurance.A minimum of 2 years as QA Manager. Experience managing cross-functional teams is a plus.Strong understanding of QA methodology.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.Experience with the Internet and familiarity with Internet technology, database technology, CRM applications and other system platforms.Must be adept at working both as an individual and in groups in a dynamic, multi-tasking environment with rapid development life cycles.Problem solving skills with a “can-do” attitude.Strong organizational skills.Deadline and detail-oriented.Willingness and ability to learn quickly.Experience with automation and load test tools is required. HP’s Quick Test Professional and WAPT is a plus.Experience with managing and maintaining Wiki and bug tracking applications. Atlassian’s Confluence and JIRA is a plus.Experience managing service desk applications. Best Practical’s RT is a plus.Familiarity with Java, HTML, XML, and SQL.Genuine interest in residential real estate is a plus.
