We have an immediate opening for a Director of Resident and Community Relations (DRCR) in Orem, Utah, home of Utah Valley University (Formerly UVSC). We want a mover-and-shaker who is a creative thinker, possesses a 'can-do,' roll-up-your-sleeves attitude, is highly energetic, and has experience in the higher education setting.

Our working environment and culture is both fun and productive. This is a management position in a highly entrepreneurial setting.

The primary function of the Director of Resident and Community Relations (DRCR) is to direct the development and implementation of the Residence Life and Community Ambassador programs within the Parkway Crossing community.  These programs have been designed to serve the purpose of aiding residents in their personal, social and academic development, as well as create a community atmosphere free from distractions and conducive to fostering friendships.  The DRCR works actively to increase resident satisfaction and retention within the Parkway Crossing Community by differentiating and providing a superior experience-oriented product in the competitive off-campus student housing marketplace.  Included in these responsibilities are the following:

 Creating a positive environment that enhances the residential experience;Building and maintaining relationships with campus and community resources;Promoting and emphasizing outstanding customer service through staff training and on-going job performance evaluations, and;Working collaboratively with other staff members in a highly entrepreneurial environment.

 

The DRCR also assists the Managing Director (MD) and other managers with the everyday operation of the property. This includes working during evenings and weekends on a rotating basis.  The MD is the DRCR’s direct supervisor.
