Director, Portfolio Management
Boston Capital is in search of a Director of Portfolio Management who will be responsible for the management of a team of Portfolio Managers and Portfolio Analysts and for the performance of our corporate tax credit funds.
Responsibilities include:Overseeing the performance and operations of the Portfolio Management Group, which is responsible for over $3B in equity investments in over 800 properties by corporate investors Managing and training a team of Portfolio Managers and Portfolio Analysts Evaluating and improving the processes and procedures within the Portfolio Management Group Interacting closely with other departments, such as Asset Management, Acquisitions, Accounting and Tax, to fulfill investor requests Managing the performance of funds, including maintaining investor yields Analyzing the impact of property performance, credit delivery and/or sale of assets on fund performance to maximize investor benefits Managing each fund’s cash sources and uses Monitoring the delivery of benefits (credits and losses) to the investors and report on variances from original projections Reviewing and approving requests from the lower tier partnerships based on their impact on Fund and investor consent requirements Reviewing investor tax returns Preparing and reviewing reports to corporate investors on property and portfolio performance Researching tax, accounting, and property issues for investors In conjunction with Accounting, monitoring fund reserve balances Serving as the primary point of contact for investors post-closing Participating in investor due diligence meetings and investor portfolio reviews
Candidate must have:Minimum of 5 to 10 years experience in real estate asset management and/or portfolio management, including real estate financial analysis BS / BA degree, Master’s degree preferred, in Real Estate Development, Business Administration, or Finance Excellent analytical skills, strong computer (especially Excel) skills Highly organized, and detail-oriented Exceptional interpersonal skills Excellent verbal and written skills are essential Multi-family real estate and/or tax credit experience preferred
