Web Developer - Play a Part in our Technical and Business AdvancementJob Id:PRNE-WEBDE2

Looking for a Web development role that will allow you to function in both the technical and business worlds? PR Newswire is seeking someone to do just that. In addition to utilizing your skills as a developer, we will rely on your ability to communicate and work together with the business side of our organization to understand and cater to their requirements. You will have the latest technologies with which to work, you will have opportunities to suggest new and/or better technologies best suited to drive our business, and you will be given the chance to expand your own horizons and grow your technical and professional skill set. This is a newly created position, and one that has key priority assigned to it - seize the chance to truly make a difference.

Now in its 54th year, PR Newswire Association LLC (www.prnewswire.com) provides electronic distribution, targeting, measurement, translation and broadcast services on behalf of tens of thousands of corporate, government, association, labor, non-profit, and other customers worldwide. Using PR Newswire, these organizations reach a variety of critical audiences including the news media, the investment community, government decision-makers, and the general public with their up-to-the-minute, full-text news developments. PR Newswire has offices in 11 countries and routinely sends its customers' news to outlets in 135 countries and in 40 languages. Utilizing the latest in communications technology, PR Newswire content is considered a mainstay among news reporters, investors and individuals who seek breaking news from the source. We offer employees a comprehensive array of generous benefits, including medical, dental, and vision care, paid time off, 401(k), employee discounts, tuition reimbursement, and more! PR Newswire is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

As a Web Developer for PR Newswire, working in our Jersey City, NJ office, your primary task will be to design and build HTML and graphical components for our websites. You will work with technical and business stakeholders to develop creative looks and feels, production-ready content, tweak existing websites, and more. Your advanced abilities with HTML/XHTML/DHTML, CSS, and JavaScript, your working knowledge of XML (and XSLT), and any talents you possess with other Web 2.0 technologies (AJAX, Flash, Silverlight, etc.) will serve as your technical foundation for this role. Your knack for thinking outside the box, your interest in contributing to projects outside the scope of your defined responsibilities, and your capability of working independently and managing yourself will allow you to establish yourself as a key member of our technology team. Most importantly, you will be counted on to take all of this and communicate with the business side in non-technical language where necessary, and take non-technical requirements and produce the desired technical results. This is a chance to have the best of both worlds - be a key part of our technical growth and play a significant role in our business.
