Web Assistant
Thieme Publishers, a leading international publisher of medical and scientific books, journals, and electronic media, seeks a detail-oriented Web Assistant to support the Web Marketing Manager.
Applying your range of technical web skills with a creative flair, you’ll work on a range of exciting online marketing activities. As a Web Assistant, you’ll:
• Assist with company website redesign and relaunch project.
• Work on online marketing campaigns (i.e. come up with online promotion ideas and design a promotion page).
• Create e-mail marketing program, which includes implementing new enewsletter design. Responsible for coding and sending out e-mail notifications announcing new titles, products, as well as meetings Thieme will exhibit at.
• Assist with the Link Exchange Program. Contact and follow-up on list of societies for link exchange. Research new societies for possible link exchange.
• Scouring websites and blogs to make sure we stay in touch with what’s going on and important online marketing developments in the medical field.
• Help hand code HTML updates to various site pages, create new sections and user features and design content development plans.
• Provide technical support for users on a busy, anatomy medical education website.
• Build and distribute website statistic reports.
• Help compile monthly data updates for our book distributors by pulling query reports from our database.
• Support Web Marketing Manager in all aspects of web marketing.
Qualifications:
• At least 1-2 years of experience in online marketing and development
• Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS
• Experienced with image editing programs (Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Flash experience a plus
• Strong research skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good time management and prioritization skills
