We are currently looking to fill a position within our Promotional Operations Group for a Web Programmer. The ideal candidate will be able to:
· Create websites from concept to completion: site architecture, navigation, information/content design and testing for quality assurance.
· Work within an established publishing CMS system.
· Work with Media Project Leaders to design vehicles for presentation of various forms of media on company websites and microsites.
· Create compelling Flash presentations from initial concepts.
· Incorporate other forms of media (audio, video, Powerpoint presentations, webinars) into Flash presentations and web pages.
· Facilitate the posting and streaming of media from various streaming media vendors.
· Design and facilitate vehicles for live internet broadcasts (audio and video)
· Coordinate production and posting of new podcasts, RSS feeds, videos, and Web seminars.
· Design custom Flash Players for video, audio and graphic presentations.
· Develop, update, and build new Web pages, databases, and templates.
· Create still and motion graphics in Photoshop, Flash and After Effects.
· Stay abreast and knowledgeable of the latest Web programming methods and trends and recommend changes as needed to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
· Provide ongoing analysis and monitoring of Inter/Intranet sites and site metrics and make recommendations regarding design issues, upgrades, and security.
· Work with art director/project leader to determine size and arrangement of art and copy.
· Assist art director with developing online media (i.e. banners, skyscrapers, Web pages, e-blasts, etc.).
· Provide quality assurance by optimizing, debugging and testing websites and email marketing campaigns for usability and deliverability.
· Coordinate and direct workflow to ensure that project work is routed to the proper destination within specified time frames; adheres to all deadlines.
· Maintain the core design principles of the website.
· Develop and implement long term and tactical testing programs to improve site conversion, page to page movement, usability, customer satisfaction, etc.
· Attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Demonstrate professionalism and ethics in all dealings with internal and external customers.
A minimum of a four-year degree or related work experience and training that provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Solid working knowledge of PC and Macintosh platform. Candidate should have experience creating web-based applications using technologies including but not limited to: HTML, DHTML, XML, DreamWeaver, GoLive, Front Page, Flash, and Javascript. Experience with SQL database development and relational database design is a plus. Experience with email production and online marketing materials.
Ability to create unconventional solutions to traditional programming problems. Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, organizational skills and the ability to work in a deadline oriented environment.
