Team Leader-Application Development (Web Applications)

Support the overall development, use and modification of RHD’s web-based applications.  Lead team to follow ITS Work Order and Change Management processes, to follow the RHD Application Development Methodology, to research customer issues and to provide appropriate system solutions. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Be the primary contact for our business partners on system functionality and interaction Manage projects that may involve software development, hardware implementation, quality assurance and/or database manipulation Coordinates systems requirements analysis and application development activities through direct and indirect staff Directs development teams in the areas of scheduling, technical direction, future planning and standard development practices Participates in budgeting and capital equipment processes and quality improvement activities for the development organization Analyze and document user requirements for system change Adhere to Application Development Methodology of RHD Provide analytical expertise and support for the Software Engineering processes including Requirements, Analysis & Design, Implementation, Test, Deployment, Project Management, Configuration and Change Management and the Environment Write Functional Specifications with appropriate design options Review and approve Technical Specs completed by internal or external programmers· Assist the ITS Testing Team during testing phase of release· Support rollout and implementation of application software· Perform analysis and provide resolution to system issues with direct contact with end-users Support technical project plan development and execution Work with cross-functional teams to develop system enhancements Meets scheduled milestones to ensure project/program objectives are met in a timely manner Qualifications:· College degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience· 2-4 years of supervisory experience leading technical teams over software development projects· Strong analytical and problem solving skills· Effective oral and written communication skills · Experience supporting web-based applications and providing production support· Understanding of object-oriented programming principles and J2EE standards· Experience in applications development using Java IDE tools.
