Staff Writer
We are looking for a Staff Writer who really has a “nose for news” with at least three years of solid news writing experience; preferably for a business publication or daily newspaper. Primary Responsibilities: • Writing news items, feature articles, e-newsletter pieces, etc. • Executing (coming up with story ideas, reporting, writing and editing) select departments. • Attending regular staff meetings to help generate story ideas. • Attending trade shows and other events as assigned. • Assisting magazine editors with special projects. Requirements: • College graduate - Journalism degree preferred. • 3 years of solid news writing experience, preferably w/ a business publication or daily newspaper. • Must have a “nose for news”. • Must be deadline oriented. • Must be able to multitask. • Must be accustomed to coming up with own story ideas and sources. • Must have a positive, "can-do" attitude.
