Sr. Manager - Technical Accounting & Reporting

To apply for this position, please go to www.rhd.com/careers . Responsible for the research, presentation and implementation of new or revised technical accounting and reporting pronouncements issued by the FASB, SEC, AICPA and other standard setters. This responsibility would require memorandum preparation detailing the accounting and reporting requirements and the process needed to implement the pronouncement. The individual would then be required to fully implement the pronouncement and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (“GAAPâ€�). Primary Duties and Responsibilities·  Responsible for the research related to internally generated accounting and reporting inquiries and the presentation of findings to executive management. ·  Serve as a lead liaison to the Company’s external auditors and internal auditors as well as multiple departments within the organization regarding inquiries and implementation of new or revised accounting and reporting standards. ·  Provide training to the Finance organization with respect to existing or new accounting and reporting guidance and the establishment of policies and practices.·  Ensure compliance with all disclosure requirements included in Forms 10-Q and 10-K with respect to new or revised accounting and reporting pronouncements.·  Research other public filings to compare disclosure and accounting and reporting policies and practices.·  Assist with the quarterly presentation of financial information to executive management and the Board of Directors. This responsibility would include preparation of PowerPoint slides and completion of other deliverables associated with the close process.·  Assistance in acquisition due diligence and the preparation of related SEC filings.·  Preparation of a Financial Policies Manual that will outline the appropriate accounting and reporting treatment for policies currently implemented by the Company. This will include the review of existing policies to ensure best practices and compliance with GAAP.·  Responsible for researching and complying with XBRL financial reporting requirements.·  Team member tasked to assist in management of the external audit relationship.· Responsible for revenue recognition compliance, including completion of fair value analysis, new products introductions and in-field training. Qualifications:·   Five to seven years Public or Private accounting experience.· Ability to research and apply proper GAAP technical accounting and reporting standards to the needs of the Company.· Knowledge of GAAP standards, of accounting policies and principles, and of reporting and disclosure requirements.· Bachelor’s degree in accounting.· CPA required· Advanced degree preferred.· Excellent Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.· Strong project and planning abilities.· High ethical standards.· Capable of researching, interpreting and applying accounting rules, regulations, principles, disclosures, etc.· Ability to work well on confidential assignments, within time sensitive deadlines, and under pressure.· Effectively handles multiple projects with overlapping tasks.· Excellent oral and written communication skills. We are committed to diversity and the strength it brings to the workplace.  R.H.
