Santa Monica, CaliforniaJoin the God of War team!Responsibilities:Provide technical support to the user community on a wide range of issues concerning networking and PC/Mac desktop hardware and software. Install and configure new PC and Mac desktop hardware, operating systems, and application software, and upgrade hardware and software on existing systems. Troubleshoot hardware, operating system, and application software problems on existing desktop systems. Communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical company employees. Assist in administration and maintenance of the studio backup systems (both tape backup and Ghost archives of workstations). Provides administration, analysis, design and functions for both Windows and Linux servers to address the needs and requirements of staff and users. Serve as liaison to vendors for server systems for maintenance, problem resolution and upgrades of installed hardware and system applications. Make authorized changes to system software, which correct inconsistencies and malfunctions as necessary. Responds to inquiries concerning systems operation and diagnoses system hardware, software, and operator problems. Research, development and implementation of new software applications and hardware solutions Provide team-leadership to junior members of staff. Assist in the documentation and creation of departmental procedures. Perform other related duties as may be required.
