Location: MAYour location:home   »  find a job   »  advanced search   »  job description Apply Online Send this Job to a Friend Hudson is partnered with a very stable company in Boston to staff their application support personnel for 6 month contract.This position within the  IT Operations Application Support team is responsible for working with IT Project teams to facilitate distribution of support for new applications to the appropriate IT Support teams leveraging shared infrastructure components. They must be able to troubleshoot production problems on a wide variety of commercial and proprietary software in order to restore service as quickly as possible and be able to do root cause analysis with the objective of preventing future occurrences of the problem. This position requires scheduled on-call support.Ideal Candidate will have the following deliverables: 24x7 support of a web-based applications Take calls 24x7, pager Provide second level troubleshooting for problems/incidents immediately Work with the customer to identify, prioritize and schedule enhancements and problem resolution. Log, monitor, document and resolve application software problems either directly or with the assistance of others (e.g., Infrastructure staff, other application staff, the vendor, etc.) Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze root cause trends for ways to prevent repeated future problems. Escalate as appropriate, application problems and issues to key stakeholders, including management, development teams, end users and unit leaders. Maintain configuration management database.
