Senior Software Engineer

This position is for an experienced Java developer who is looking for new technical challenges. You will be the technical owner of significant components of a growing system.You will be responsible for coding, designing, and participating in requirements analysis, writing technical specifications, and working with teams on testing and deployment of the system. This is a hands-on coding and key technical staff position. You will also participate in discussions and planning of best practices, tools selection, process, and overall engineering efforts.The ideal candidate will be a skilled Java Software Developer with prior experience implementing and releasing a recognizable product to market that utilized Hibernate and/or Spring frameworks (or a high interest in working with Hibernate and Spring with deep knowledge of Java).QualificationsQualified candidates should have excellent communication skills and a desire to work on team oriented, cutting edge, customer-focused technical projects. ·3 - 5 years of software development experience, the majority of it working on enterprise-scale Java/J2EE applications.·Experience owning significant component(s) of Java based applications.·Excellent understanding of application servers, multi-tier architectures, and all layers from presentation to persistence.·Hands-on development experience with J2EE components.·Familiarity with libraries and frameworks such as Struts, Spring, Axis, JSF, Hibernate, and others.·Extremely strong core Java coding skills, including an understanding of optimization, performance ramifications of coding decisions, and of course object-oriented design.·Understanding of system architecture & design including clustering, scalability, and monitoring.·BSCS or above.
