Senior Desk Editor Analysts In Media, Inc. (AIM), A leading B2B Media Company headquartered in New York's Financial District, is looking for an experienced Senior Desk Editor to join our team and to work across 3 of our publications. In order to be successful in this position, you must be in pursuit of editorial excellence with the ability to write, edit and produce copy that is well written and organized. You should also enjoy working within a fast paced, team environment that is energetic and deadline-driven. Our impressive list of editorial contributors are from blue chip companies in the Pharmaceutical, Healthcare and Business IT industries. Our publications include: Future Pharmaceuticals -- www.futurepharmaus.com Business Trends Quarterly -- www.btquarterly.com Future Healthcare -- www.futurehealthcareus.com Responsibilities: Conduct telephone interviews for Podcasts Panel discussionsEdit and transcribe Interview Transcripts from conference calls to fit a specific brief, word count.Sub, proof and rewrite/write to and client specifications and in-house style Sub on both copy and layout Proof copy back to the client Perform basic layout using Word and InDesign Be creative and innovative with your headlines; picture captions and cover lines Ability to absorb and interpret varied subject matter in short periods of time. Excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to multi-task and to work to tight production schedules.May be required to travel to conferences and exhibitions to conduct interviews Skills/Experience: Be thorough with a keen eye for detail. Have an impeccable command of English ensuring accuracy at all times. Be familiar and confident using style guides and grammar without compromising on the written word Preferably 2-3 years experience with magazine/contract publishing.
