About the PositionWe are looking for someone who has a deep knowledge of accounting and is passionate about teaching to help develop and write our accounting products. Current job market candidates, graduate students with TA experience, and junior faculty are encouraged to apply for this position.
We are unique in that we hire in-house,full-time content developers rather than outsourcing the writing. Our content developers in finance and economics include a PhD in Economics from Penn, an MS in Finance from the University of Florida, and an MA in Economics from University of Montana, among others. Something they all have in common is teaching experience, whether as a TA or an adjunct instructor. Some continue to teach a class or two each year as they work full time for Aplia. Strong written and oral communication skills, a passion for teaching accounting, an excellent academic track record, and the desire to make a positive contribution to a strong team are the most important qualities we seek. Candidate Requirements:Masters degree in accounting Experience teaching introductory-level accounting (financial, managerial, principles) Work experience in accounting and/ or professional certification desirable Passion for teaching Excellent writing skills Bright, hard working, flexible, dedicated, and team-focused self-starter Computer savvy with ability to learn new software Applicants will not be considered without a cover letter.
