Publishing Sales Representative

We are seeking a Sales Representative in the Dallas/Arlington area
Reporting to a District Sales Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the sales and marketing of textbooks, supplements and new media to professors and academic bookstores in a local territory comprised of 2 and 4-year colleges and universities. Additionally, our sales representatives communicate closely with our editorial and marketing staff to assist in the development and acquisition of manuscripts/new media projects for future publications.
To excel in this position, you should have 2 years prior outside sales experience, excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills; ambition; creativity; poise and have the capacity for hard work. A four year degree is required, and proficiency in common computer application programs (word processing, e-mail, spreadsheets, database) is a must. This position requires approximately 20% travel.
