The Technical Project Manager will work with all organizational levels and teams to plan and manage BLSS online software products through the complete project life cycle. Activities will include preparation of project documentation technical specifications, project plans, timelines and written client communications, interaction with the entire development team, status tracking/reporting, and risk and issue management. In conjunction with the BLSS organization, the Technical PM will help ensure deliverables meet stakeholder expectations within budget and agreed timeframes and are of the highest quality.



Primary Responsibilities:



- Coordinate the overall development of technical projects, including technical design and documentation (technical specifications, project workflow), resource allocation, scheduling, development, implementation, tracking, and status reporting

- Proactively seek out, track and remove barriers to completing a project

- Report status on a regular basis to management and stakeholders, escalating when necessary; prioritize changes in scope and manage stakeholder expectations

- Work with developers to build detailed and creative solutions to complex problems, while managing timelines and costs

- Balance multiple clients and competing priorities

- Work with Product and Development leads to define process and infrastructure improvements and gather feedback for large projects that need creative project management strategies

- Effectively manage and complete assigned tasks; maintain internal project and task tracking system



Qualifications



- Bachelors degree

- 3-5 years experience as a Technical Project Manager with proven success in managing complex Web software development projects

- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including .NET, SQL Server, Visual Studio, and VSS

- Experience with task and bug tracking software (e.g. Bugzilla)

- Understands complex technical systems and can determine impact of architectural solutions and recommendations

- Experience with database driven internet application development

- Highly motivated, with ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and aggressive deadlines

- Excels in operating in a cross-division, collaborative environment

- Experience leading projects using iterative/agile development methodologies

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with other departments, demanding clients and varying levels of management

- Attention to detail and superior follow-through

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills

- Experience building and/or managing wikis a plus
