RESPONSIBILITIES: Participates in the planning of editorial processes and implements editorial tasks for assigned projects. Based on cross-functional meetings to decide workflow and schedules, the Project Coordinator creates component level batch schedules for first printings and reprints for print product. The Project Coordinator has primary responsibility for coordinating the manuscript content review process; tracking and monitoring editorial development schedules; creating and maintaining tracking logs of materials (manuscript, layouts, page stages); coordinating distribution lists for development stages (manuscript, layouts, page stages); creating and maintaining first print and reprint editorial files. QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience, required. Strong organizational and communication skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Quark XPress software applications required. Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively required. Ability to work with cross-functional teams required. Basic knowledge of one, two, and four-color book production preferred. Familiarity with the publishing process preferred. Experience with coordinating and scheduling projects preferred.
