Production Assistant, Wire Services

Organisation

· Reports to Production Manager, with indirect reporting line to Managing Editor, Wire Services

· Works with Production staff and Wire Services editors

 

Objectives

· Responsible for publishing Wire Services content; updating HTML on Wire Services sites

· Assists Production staff as needed

· Supports Managing Editor, Wire Services

 

Key responsibilities

· Inputs/publishes third-party content into the Industry Briefing pipeline daily on DMS, keeping an eye out for possible errors, inconsistencies

· Formats Risk Briefing events-driven content for DMS; inputs third-party content into Risk Briefing pipeline; publishes Risk Briefing content daily

· Slugs Risk Briefing country articles together; maintains Risk Briefing ratings tables; updates Risk Briefing content and HTML

· Creates daily ViewsWire AMT NG file; publishes mandatory ViewsWire content; updates HTML for Quick Facts

· Assists production staff, as needed, in promoting content into DMS, updating Country Scorecards for ViewsWire site and assure quality on internal websites

 

 Skills needed

· Bachelors or equivalent preferred

· Strong eye for detail

· Ability to juggle several tasks simultaneously and efficiently

· Ability to work to daily deadlines

· Team player

· MS Word/Windows

· Familiarity with Internet and basic HTML a plus
