Printing Maintenance Manager

Engineering/Maintenance Manager

Reporting to the Division Operations Manager, you will be responsible for assuring that all mechanical and electrical plant equipment is maintained and is in good operating condition, to minimize down time and facilitate smooth on-schedule quality production.  Implements corporate preventive maintenance program and directs an effective and efficient utilization of resources and materials necessary to meet the Division Performance objectives.

Job Description: Supervise and establish priorities and schedule personnel for maintenance of all plan equipment, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic Respond to breakdowns by determining problem and effect immediate repair Establish and monitor preventive maintenance program Responsible for physical building and grounds. Work with vendors to assure proper inventory and quality Maintain inventory of supplies and parts for maintenance repairs Schedules and coordinates maintenance repairs and prioritizes jobs assigned in order to meet production requirements and other department needs Perform installation of equipment. Maintains machine shop capable of making mechanical, plumbing and electrical repairs to manufacturing and plant equipment.

Qualified candiates will have:The skills necessary to properly and professionally communicate with all levels of the workforce verbally, electronically and in writing College degree or equivalent in training and work experience.  Ability to demonstrate set-up and operational experience of on-line and off-line auxiliary equipment. Must understand the characteristics and properties of ink and paper used in lithographic operations Must possess basic computer skills and be able to demonstrate understanding of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the use of the Lotus Notes email system Minimum of eight years experience in the operation of large format web offset presses Understand all aspects of the printing process from pre-press to finishing Two to three years in positions of supervisor or equivenant leadership roles. Excellent planning and organizational skills  Knowledge of printing theory and mechanical process and involved with press equipment operations is essential Prior experience operating Goss C-700, Harris 900/954 presses is desired.
