Print Support Specialist
This position serves to coordinate customer printing operations with RR Donnelley Premedia and clients in a manner that exceeds client expectations. Primary responsibilities include establishing printer capabilities and limitations, preparing specifications and proofing profiles for customer specific print applications, and evaluating print results for the Brand. The Packaging Print Manager needs to work ethically in dealing with customers, employees, suppliers and printers, maintaining a positive attitude and a sense of urgency, expressing clear communications and utmost professionalism in all interactions, while focusing on customer satisfaction.Qualifications? College degree or equivalent working experience.? 3+ years of prior print management experience preferred.? Ability to see the "big picture" which allows the individual to make good sound business decisions that benefit the PMT organization? Understanding of brand management.? Familiarity with packaging structures, including packaging design and film structures and layouts for bags, boxes, cartons, labels, etc. is essential.? Familiarity with bar code preparation and application.? Solid understanding of prepress and print specifications for Litho, Flexo, and Gravure? Knowledge and application of packaging machinery, press marks and press specifications.? Experience in utilizing Continuous Improvement tools to create and track metrics.? Excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to build and maintain strong and effective customer and internal relationships.? Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to listen for understanding.? Strong commitment to ensuring quality and exceeding customer satisfaction expectations.
