Sales/Retail/Business Development Print Advertising Sales Representative Position Description Print sales position selling display advertising in The Wall Street Journal. In addition to selling high impact print campaigns, you will also work closely with the digital teams for WSJ.com and Marketwatch.com to craft integrated advertising programs. Requires consistent achievement of quarterly sales goals and active management of and prospecting for new clients. Oversee work of Sales Planner and Sales Coordinator to provide best of breed customer service and results for marketers and agencies. Responsible for RFP direction and final delivery and sell through. Responsibilities Build relationships and develop a significant account of agencies and advertisers through cold calls, leads generated by Sales Planner (SP), trade networking events, etc. Position/sell WSJ products and services to clients by combining editorial packages with WSJDN's innovative ad solutions. Develop proposals, meet and present to clients and close account. Maintain a spreadsheet of active accounts and revenue forecasts. Negotiate pricing and placement for sales campaigns. Ask for credit applications and T&C from client for internal review and approval. Oversee and develop SP to prioritize tasks, produce consistent deliverables and leverage resources to maximize sales. Mitigate and resolve any credit, billing, T&Cs and delivery issues with the client. Develop industry expertise in an assigned vertical and provide sales team with updates on current trends, news, competitive analysis and advertising opportunities. This position reports to the Director. Position Requirements 3+ years of advertising sales experience. Articulate with strong communication and presentation skills. Organized and focused on priorities that move the sales process forward; creative thinker who can match marketers' goals with unique, affluent audiences available on our media properties. College degree required. Specific category experience a plus.
