We are currently recruiting for a Paralegal/Contracts Administrator to join our NY Soho office.  A minimum of three-five years experience as a paralegal/contracts administrator, preferably in a publishing environment, is required. Advanced computer skills should include Microsoft Office Suite, internet, and general facility with databases. The qualified candidate will have a BA/BS degree plus a paralegal certificate.

 

The position reports to the President of Springer USA.

 

Responsibilities:  The successful candidate will be responsible for expediting and managing the routing process for all contracts (both books and journals); proofing and evaluating contracts; archiving; file room maintenance, including digitizing all contracts.  Another significant responsible will be the handling of Library of Congress copyright registrations.

 

Qualifications: The ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, capable of working independently, strong communication skills (oral and written), strong attention to detail, highly organized.
