PUBLISHING TELEPHONE SALES
Salem Press is a 55-year-old reference book publisher located in Hackensack, NJ. We enjoy a terrific reputation for excellent products. Our office is responsible for the sales and marketing of these books to schools, libraries and colleges.
We have an excellent telephone sales opportunity managing a large pool of existing customers and targeted, qualified prospects. Full time with excellent health benefits. Base pay plus commission currently yielding $60K+ to dedicated Territory Managers. Position has a starting salary of $20K plus commissions. Training provided.
Must be upbeat, optimistic, have a good sense of humor and enjoy books and information. Good phone presence a must.
Territory Sales Managers' responsibilities include inbound and outbound telephone calls to public libraries, school libraries and college libraries to describe and sell the company's products. Calls are made to existing customers for upgrade and new product sales and to prospects from carefully targeted lists provided. Also, territory managers coordinate prospecting and marketing with field sales representatives in assigned territories. Additional sales support is via catalog mailings and direct mail.
Territory Managers are paid a base salary plus commissions on all sales in their territories. These sales include wholesaler and jobber orders; sales by field representatives and sales made directly by Territory Managers over the phone.
REQUIREMENTS
Excellent oral communication skills and an aptitude for sales;
Demonstrate an ongoing desire in developing customer relations;
Results driven with good communication, prospecting and time management skills;
Professionalism and persistence are key to success in this position.
