PHP Web Developer Needed (Contract-to-Hire Position)
Our client, located in Folsom, CA is seeking a PHP Developer for a contract-to-hire position (contract term will be 6 months). Description:Client is the nation's leading publishing, research, event, and new media company focused on information technology for the state/local government and education markets. The web developer position is within the Web Production section of the IT Dept and will be responsible for implementing fixes to daily production bugs as well as implementing web development projects for all web sites and web applications owned by the company. The Web Production section is currently focused on delivering cutting edge and innovative PHP 5 solutions using advanced architectures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Primary responsibilities are working to efficiently fix daily production bugs. * Responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of all web properties. * Following System Requirements Specifications and working with Project Managers and Quality Assurance Testers to fully implement and release web projects of high quality. Requirements: 1. Excellent web programming skills to include HTML, JavaScript, PHP5. 2. Working knowledge of OO, Ajax and Web 2.0 concepts. 3. Excellent code quality checking. 4. Good SQL experience and general database programming concepts. 5. Excellent communication skills with an ability to provide superior customer service. 6. Excellent communication, organization, project and prioritization skills. 7. Working well within a team environment. 8. 2-5 years web development experience.
