Order Entry Clerk
Borealis Press, in Surry, Maine is looking for an Order Entry Clerk to join it's team. For over fifteen years Borealis has been one of the leaders in the Greeting Card industry and always one of the leaders in "green" manufacturing. (www.borealispress.net)
Below is the position description:
Job Title: Order Entry Clerk
Department: Sales
Reports To: National Sales Manager
Date: July 28, 2008
SUMMARY
The Order Entry Clerk is responsible for 100% of all customer orders being entered into the Borealis accounting system and to ensure all orders are exported on schedule with FAI and are delivered to customers in a timely fashion. These include all orders, whether received by a Sales Rep, customer or other Borealis employee.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Position duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Retrieves all orders from fax machine, email, phone orders or orders from other employees and enters them into the Borealis order log and accounting system.
2. Works closely with Accounting, Customer Service and the National Sales Manager to ensure any orders entered are for customers that are in good financial standing with Borealis and that no orders are entered for processing with any customers that are currently past due on their prearranged payment terms.
3. Works closely with the Office Manager as directed by the National Sales Manager to ensure that all customer needs are being met.
4. Maintains and keeps organized all storage, electronic and hard copy, of all sales orders for future reference.
5. Works closely with, and attempts to assist all employees from all other departments at all times.
6. Process all returns into the system.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Individual must consider him/her self extremely computer literate and one who pays extraordinary attention to detail.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Driver’s license is required.
