To complement our rapidly growing business we are seeking a bright and highly motivated Materials & QA Manager. This position will control the workflow operationally, ensuring all employee resources are used optimally, providing structure to a rapidly growing and changing quality organization. This position will be located in our new production and distribution facility in Newark, NJ.
Responsibilities:
· Oversee processes and accuracy associated with the receiving and replenishment of Customer Inventory and Perpetual Inventory.
· Manage Customer Inventory, Perpetual Inventory, and Quality Assurance operations and employees; including responsibility for ensuring quality and quantity of materials.
· Managing the recycled program that is associated with the baling of corrugate and paper stock.
· Ensuring those materials needed for daily operations and special projects associated with all departments are available.
· Improving processes associated with the efficiency of the Perpetual and Customer Inventory operations.
· Supervision of employees to include: managing the team schedule, payroll, and assignment of work.
· Ensure adherence to all documented quality processes and procedures. Liaison between Production teams and Quality teams to analyze internal quality issues.
· Responsible for communicating all inventory needs or issues to the Memphis facility; including working with the Receiving and Customer Inventory Managers to ensure all inventory needs are met and stock levels are justified.
Required Skills and experience:
· 3-5 years material/inventory and quality assurance supervisory experience; WMS experience; general knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems; preferably in a printing environment.
· Solid leadership skills with a track record of developing individuals and teams; including training employees on proper warehousing procedures.
· Strong analytical skills to solve problems in a timely manner; strong computer skills.
· Ability to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, with little or no advance notice; team oriented and flexible.
· Ability to plan, organize and prioritize effectively while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Read, speak, and understand the English language fluently.
· Bachelors Degree in an area of the printing industry or business related field preferred
