This includes strategically positioning products and the product line by influencing the synchronization of product development, promotional media and sales efforts in the form of successful implementation of a comprehensive marketing plan. Responsible for the following:Creating the marketing plans and manage all advertising and promotional campaigns. Developing and present sales tools, product kits, competitive information and training programs for sales force. Analyzing and developing new and existing markets through campus and convention travel. Developing and maintaining sales tracking systems for key titles and adoptions. Developing and creating strategies for conventions and other special selling events. Developing, implementing, managing and analyzing all marketing and competitive strategies and programs for assigned product line. Participate in the planning of all market research. Guide revisions and development of new product. Participate in acquisitions, as needed. Plan and maintain all expenditures within budget. BA required. Two years publishing sales experience necessary. Prior experience in college publishing with a knowledge of the marketing and editorial processes preferred. Excellent organizational, written and oral communication, presentation, and inter-personal skills needed to strategize ideas in a team environment. Flexible, resourceful and willingness to contribute new ideas important.
