Position Profile:

The Marketing Director for 1105 Media’s Enterprise Computing Group (ECG) will be responsible for the development and execution of the marketing strategies for its events and conferences.  The ideal candidate will be an advocate and catalyst for change, be tenacious, passionate and not afraid of a challenge!  He/she will also have a strong sense of creativity and original thought, and the ability to build relationships at the highest level, both internally and externally. 

 

Specific responsibilities will include:Leading the evolution and execution of our branding, messaging and Web marketing strategy.Maintaining clear and concise messaging frameworks for each event.Managing design and production of all collateral/vehicles, ensuring that consistent branding and messaging across all customers touch points.Collaborating with other staff members in the business unit on the development and production of conference brochures and the website.Conducting market and customer research to enhance our positioning, messaging, and overall marketing and conference strategy.Tracking and monitoring all marketing expenses.Creating and delivering ongoing reports on attendee numbers, campaign results and ROI.Employing data analytics and data mining techniques to effectively target event attendees.Managing and leading team members. 

 

Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree with 7 to 10 years of experience in related fields, including communications, media relations, events management, marketing and/or journalism.  (B2B Event marketing/management experience strongly preferred).Proven track record of creating successful audience demand generation programs across media spectrum.Prior experience with company that delivers products or services to IT professionals or developers is highly desirable.Familiarity with the latest SEO and SMO techniques is preferred.Strong communication skills, including excellent written and verbal abilities, as well as strong presentation skills.  Experience managing a team; ability to keep team leaders and staff informed for changes, challenges and opportunities.Ability to effectively manage marketing budgets.  Ability to work as part of a team and to have a collaborative work style.
