Marketing, Customer Service Coordinator
The Economist Intelligence Unit has enjoyed rapid growth over the past few years. The Americas marketing department continues to grow to meet the challenges of our burgeoning conference and product based business. We are seeking a Customer Service Coordinator to support our marketing activities as they relate primarily to our events based business. The Customer Service Coordinator for the Economist Intelligence Unit supports the America’s marketing group by taking registrations for our events business, answering customer inquiries, processing payments, writing delegate confirmations, etc. The person in this position will also be responsible for creating debriefs for assigned events and also be involved in conducting list/database research. This particular position will focus on our growing portfolio of Latin America events and will provide back-up for all other events held in the Americas.
Key accountabilities
· Registration processing
· Responding to delegate inquiries/concerns
· Payment processing
· Registration confirmation processing
· Analyze post conference demographic information (Debriefs)
· Update conferences contact management system, DBLOGIX
· Customer service back up for all America’s events
· Interface with conference sponsors as requested
Performance measures
· Performance of marketing duties related to job profile (48 hour turnaround in answering inquiries and processing registrations)
· Projects conducted to highest standards and to agreed marketing objectives
· Meet deadlines and implement processes to keep team projects running smoothly
· Working collegially with other Group divisions
Skills and capabilities profile
· Education & training
· Bachelor’s degree preferred
· Previous work experience
· At least 1-2 years experience working in a marketing environment at a dynamic organization.
· Knowledge
· Solid working knowledge of B to B marketing techniques
