Immediate Need - IT Support Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

Victory Packaging is a privately held multi-national manufacturer and distributor of industrial packaging products and has an immediate opportunity for a self motivated individual to take on the role of IT Support Specialist. Since its inception in 1976, the organization has grown into one of the largest providers of packaging lines and solutions in North America. Specializing in managed inventory programs, we offer our customers a true total cost reduction program, logistics support, just in time delivery, and assistance with design and new product development.

 

The ideal candidate must have well defined troubleshooting experience in the addition to being able to succeed in a high volume support role in an environment that encourages first call resolution. 

 

PROFICIENCY:

 

A successful applicant must be very comfortable and experienced with providing first-class support to a national user base. Additionally, candidate will be required to have flexible hours and on-call weekend availability as needed.  Minimum of 3 years experience in supporting a 1000+ user environment Provide technical support to onsite and remote end users on PC hardware, software applications, and general IT-related conceptsIntermediate to advanced skills surrounding Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 operating systemsAbility to provide first-level support for enterprise-grade Cisco network equipmentOther areas of knowledge should include Active Directory, Exchange 2007, IIS, Symantec Backup Exec, enterprise malware mitigation, system availability monitoring, client-server methodologies, network protocols & topologiesAS400/iSeries operations experience is preferred, but is not requiredCandidate must be able to work well with others within a team environmentMust have ability to multi-task and demonstrate strong follow-through and resolutionExcellent interpersonal as well as oral and written communications skills are essentialAdditional responsibilities as assigned by Manager of Computer Operations.

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Four year degree preferred or commensurate experience
