Image Assembly Operator

Hours for this position are 4:30 p.m. - 3:00 a.m. This position prepares graphic files for print across all packaging print platforms, while maintaining the integrity of the content, art, design, and brand. Primary responsibilities include electronic image assembly for packaging (separating, trapping, screening, stepping) primarily in Esko/Artworks Systems applications, to meet customer requirements, maintaining a positive attitude and a sense of urgency, expressing clear communications and utmost professionalism in all interactions, and focusing on customer satisfaction.? Perform electronic image assembly to packaging files (separating, trapping, screening, stepping).? Able to use Adobe CS3 applications.? Understand to print specifications, customer requirements, print limitations and government regulations.? Edit and manipulate hi-res images in Photoshop CS3.? Able to proofread and perform quality assurance to files and proofs.? Understand and able to use color metrics instrumentation.? Develop standard operating procedures.Qualifications? Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator CS2 and/or CS3.? Familiarity with image assembly software (i.e., Esko/Artwork Systems applications).? Familiarity with the principles and practices of digital art, graphic design, layout and illustration.? Familiarity with packaging structures, including packaging design and film structures and layouts for bags, boxes, cartons, labels, etc. is essential.? Familiarity with bar code preparation and application.? Solid understanding of prepress and print specifications for Litho, Flexo, and Gravure.? Knowledge and application of packaging machinery, press marks and press specifications.? Familiarity with use of DAM (digital asset management), including asset creation and database management.?
